But you still need to test it! Even Google can get things wrong. Here is an example\u00a0how.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/uxstudioteam.com\/\">UX company<\/a><\/span>\u00a0is working for\u00a0an e-sports\u00a0company. Here is the test task:<\/p>\n<p><em>How would you check the traffic of this month? They all thought that the &#8221; Day | Week | Month &#8221; buttons will take them to the desired result. But in fact these buttons are designed to set the frequency of sampling of\u00a0the graph:<a href=\"https:\/\/uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images3-e1440494036863.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1264\" src=\"https:\/\/uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images3-e1440494036863.png\" alt=\"Unikrn all images\" width=\"1235\" height=\"1146\" srcset=\"https:\/\/timemachine.uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images3-e1440494036863.png 1235w, https:\/\/timemachine.uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images3-e1440494036863-720x668.png 720w, https:\/\/timemachine.uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images3-e1440494036863-1024x950.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1235px) 100vw, 1235px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Users misunderstand these buttons in Google Analytics just as badly as in our design.\u00a0After this research finding we decided to add a little tweak that may help: an explanation text. &#8230;user tests revealed\u00a0pretty fast that this didn&#8217;t solve the problem. Why? Because people\u00a0won&#8217;t read the explanation text if they think they get the buttons\u00a0right. They have no reason to read.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images4-e1440494175748.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1265 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images4-e1440495717931.png\" alt=\"Unikrn all images\" width=\"1383\" height=\"598\" srcset=\"https:\/\/timemachine.uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images4-e1440495717931.png 1383w, https:\/\/timemachine.uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images4-e1440495717931-720x311.png 720w, https:\/\/timemachine.uxstudioteam.com\/ux-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unikrn-all-images4-e1440495717931-1024x443.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1383px) 100vw, 1383px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At this point it is important to note\u00a0that these buttons implement a\u00a0secondary feature for our users.
